Online Training Modules
The following online training modules are available in Workday Learning:
Export Compliance for Administrators: Designed for Business Administrators, this course will take you through the basics of export control regulations and ways in which you can help keep Penn compliance with export control laws.
Export Compliance for Researchers: Designed for Penn researchers, this module describes the basics of export control regulations and identifies potential “red flags” in research projects.
Restricted Party Screening at Penn: Required for access to Visual Compliance, this course will walk you through how to perform restricted party screening using Visual Compliance. Completion of one of the above Export Compliance modules is recommended but not required.
In-Person Training
The Export Compliance Office can also offer in-person, customized training tailored to your specific needs. If you or your team would like to schedule an in-person training session, please contact expctrl@lists.upenn.edu.
2022 Conference Materials
The University of Pennsylvania hosted the 2022 conference on Export Controls and Research Security at Higher Education and Scientific Institutions at the Sheraton Philadelphia University City Hotel May 3-4, 2022. The conference was preceded by a day of workshops on May 2, 2022 and followed by the Association of University Export Control Officers (AUECO) Membership Meeting on May 5, 2022.
